Which football leagues does LiveCast cover?

Definitions used on this page

  • Covered is a competition where you get the squad before kick-off and at least one recently played match delivered line-ups or match events (goals, cards, substitutions). Full definition.
  • Not yet is a competition where no source we use delivers the squad. Preparation would be empty.
  • Not measured is a competition we could not judge on this run.
  • Squad is the list of registered players. It is not the starting XI.

Where to find the list

The source of truth is the live table at /coverage/football. It shows every football competition we measure, its status and the date of the measurement. We do not copy the list into this guide, because it changes: a season starts, a source changes, a series is cleared for use, and the next weekly run shows it.

In the measurement of 2 October 2026, 14 of the 32 football competitions we measure met the bar, 16 were "not yet" and 2 were "not measured". Check the live table for the current picture.

Method. The squad is checked through the same source chain the preparation screen uses. Live data is checked on the two most recent played matches in each competition, looking back up to four months. If only some of the sampled matches had live data, the table keeps a note saying so.

Why a competition is "not yet"

There are two reasons, and the table tells you which one applies.

No squad source. Most "not yet" competitions share one note: no squad source in the chain covers this competition, so preparation would be empty. This is typical for lower divisions, some smaller national leagues and some cup competitions.

The source is switched off. For a few series, a squad source exists, but it is switched off until the data provider clears the series for use. Until then the series is not offered when you create a new broadcast, so we do not call it covered. When the switch changes, the next measurement will show it.

We publish "not yet" because it is the most useful answer we can give before you sign up. A commentator covering the second tier needs to know now that the player list would be empty, not on matchday.

Why a competition is "not measured"

"Not measured" is not a no. It usually means one of two things:

  • The squad was found, but there were no played matches in the last four months to measure live data on, for example between seasons or before a tournament starts.
  • The squad was found, but no live source in our chain covers the competition today, so the live part could not be checked.

Both will be measured again on the weekly run.

What "covered" gives you in practice

When a football competition is covered, a broadcast in LiveCast gets:

  • Before the match: the squads, with shirt numbers and positions, sortable by number, name or position, plus your own private notes on each person (players, and managers where the source provides them). The list is labelled "Squad" until a line-up exists; a squad never pretends to be a starting XI.
  • During the match: the pitch with players, goals, substitutions and cards, and a match strip showing who is on the pitch, who is on a yellow, and how many substitutions each side has used.

What it does not promise: deep statistics in every league. Where the statistics are thinner, the coverage search says so, and an organisation with its own data agreement can connect it.

When a result counts

Every result must name a source we use today and be less than 14 days old; otherwise it is shown as "not measured". The table shows what the current source chain actually delivers, not what it delivered last season.

How LiveCast does it

The football demo broadcast replays a recorded Premier League match, Liverpool v Arsenal, so you can see exactly what a covered league looks like before you choose one: the squads in the prep view, and the pitch and match strip during play. For the full workflow, see the football commentary prep checklist and football in LiveCast.

FAQ

Does LiveCast cover the Premier League?

The Premier League is one of the competitions in the weekly measurement. Its current status and measurement date are in the live table at /coverage/football, and the recorded football demo is a Premier League match, so you can see what a covered league looks like.

Does LiveCast cover my national league?

Look it up in the live table at /coverage/football. If it is "not yet", the note tells you whether there is no squad source or whether the source is switched off until the series is cleared.

Why is my league "not yet" when I can see its scores elsewhere?

Because scores are not enough to prepare. Our bar requires the squad before kick-off. If no source we use delivers it, your player list would be empty, and we would rather tell you before you sign up.

How often does this list change?

It is re-measured weekly. Results older than 14 days turn into "not measured", so the table cannot show a stale yes.

Can my organisation add its own data?

Yes. Organisations with their own data agreement can connect it, and coverage is then measured with their key. Those results are private to the organisation and not shown on public pages.
